Asslamu Alaykum. Tomorrow Saturday the 23rd of May will be the last day of Ramadan. Which means Sunday the 24th of May will be the 1st of Shawaal known as the day of Eid al Fitr.
Unfortunately, the Masjid still remains closed until we have word from the Monterey County/State of California to reopen. Unfortunately this means there will be no Eid prayer or Eid celebration as a community.
Eid Mubarak to you and your families. May Allah accept from us all of the fasting, prayers and reading of the Quran. Ameen.

Zakat Collection & Eid

5/19/2020

Monterey County has extended the shelter in place order until May 31st. The Masjid will continue to remain closed during this time. Unfortunately that also means there will be no Eid prayer in the Masjid and no Eid celebration.

Unfortunately the masjid will not be able to collect Zakat al-fitr or zakat al-mal. We are recommending donating this money through ICNA relief which is an established Islamic organization.

The Zakat al-fitr option is at the end of the page on the link above.
